When it comes to street performers it's pretty hard to beat New York's Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village -- "The Village".

The history of the Park proper goes back more than a Century and Greenwich Village itself long before that.

Washington Square Park has seen so many different demonstrations, political rallies world-class and no-class entertainers, beatniks, hippies, derelicts, dog walkers, wackos, weirdos and anything else that walks or crawls!

Here are some street performers from Washington Square Park and San Francisco's Fishermen's Wharf.

In my opinion a day spent watching street performers is a great way to spend a day.  It's "Quality Time "!
