Grandma Moses' paintings have a special meaning to me because I spent 8 years in her neck of the woods when I was going to school in Troy, New York.  Those school years were some of the best years of my life and I'll never forget them for many reasons.

Among them, in my opinion New York's Capital District, Rensselaer County and surrounding countryside are among the most beautiful parts of America!   And that includes the magnificent Western mountains, forests and deserts!

Grandma Moses' works to me are a wonderful reminder of the true History and Americana of the region.
