I have mixed feelings about California. On the one hand, without a doubt, California has magnificent mountains, forests, seacoast, deserts, lava flows and anything else you can possibly think of geologically.

You can experience blazing heat, dangerously freezing temperatures, bright blue skies, heavy rains, snow, thick fog, floods, drought and anything else you can think of climate-wise.

Sometimes all in the same day!

On the other hand politicians have destroyed the quality of life to such an extent that the American Dream is no longer attainable by the middle class.  California has been good for me, and to me, but over the years but I have seen the state descend from a land of milk and honey to one of near third-world mediocrity.

But, overall, I think the good outweigh the bad and the ugly.
